Baylor Softball Holds Just Outside Top 25

WACO, Texas - The Baylor softball team remained three spots out of the USA Today/NVCA Coaches' Poll this week, receiving 19 votes. This is the second consecutive week in which Baylor (24-5) has received votes for the top 25.

UCLA retains possession of the No. 1 spot, followed by Arizona and Stanford, who defeated Baylor 5-2 Tuesday night. LSU and Nebraska are tied for fourth, California, Arizona State, Michigan, Oklahoma and Fresno State round out the top 10.

Baylor plays at the Hallowell Classic this weekend, hosted by No. 10 Fresno State.

Along with No. 4 Nebraska and No. 9 Oklahoma, Texas A&M represents the Big 12 in the top 25 at No. 21, up two spots from last week. Wisconsin, who defeated Baylor 2-1 last Friday, moved into the top 25 at the poll's last spot. With 19 votes, Baylor is 23 votes behind Wisconsin.

The Lady Bears play Indiana at 3 p.m. CST Friday, followed by a 7 p.m. game against Fresno State.
