FRESNO, Calif. - Baylor made use of eight hits and five Indiana errors for a 6-2 victory here Friday at the Hallowell Classic, hosted by Fresno State. The Lady Bears move to 25-5 on the season with the win, while Indiana falls to 1-7-1.

Stacey Hundley singled to score Kelly Levesque from second with two outs in the third, Hundley advanced to second on a throw home and then scored when Indiana shortstop Kristine Dugan dropped a Sarah Caudle pop up behind second base. Baylor got two more runs in the fourth, thanks to a two-out Stephanie Pomes single that scored Danelle Arnold and Carrie Leerberg.

The Lady Bears scored two unearned runs in the fifth. Levesque walked to lead off the inning, Hundley followed with a sacrifice bunt, but Hoosier pitcher Heather Stillian's throw sailed down the first-base line. That allowed Levesque to score and Hundley to reach third. Two batters later, Kristen Lancaster plated Hundley with a single through the right side.

Indiana scratched for two runs in the bottom of the sixth. With one out in the inning and a runner at first, Brooke Monroe laced an RBI double to right-center. Stillians then singled to left, giving the Hoosiers runners at the corners with one out. Leerberg then picked off pinch runner Lauren Jolly at first, and Monroe scored on the play. However, that was all Indiana could manage.

Katie Decker (6-0) started and picked up the victory for Baylor. Decker, who re-entered in the seventh, allowed two runs on five hits with one walk and five strikeouts. Joni Miller got the final two outs of the sixth for the Lady Bears, walking one.

The Lady Bears got hits from seven different batters, including two from Arnold. Sarah Caudle walked twice, and Levesque and Hundley scored two runs each.

Baylor returns to action Friday at 7 p.m. CST against No. 10 Fresno State.
