Green Downs Gold, 24-10, In Baylor Spring Game

WACO, Texas - The Greens got on the board early on a Daniel Andino 28-yard, first-quarter field goal. Anthony Krieg gave the Greens a 10-0 lead on a one-yard plunge midway through the second quarter. Two minutes later, a Cicero pump-fake helped Roberts get behind the secondary on a 34-yard scoring strike with 4:14 left in the first half.

On the Gold team's next play from scrimmage, Ethan Kelly recovered a Frank Draa fumble to set up another Cicero-to-Roberts touchdown, a 25-yard fade route into the endzone to give the Green a 24-0 halftime lead.

Roberts, who finished with five receptions for 96 yards, and teammate Reggie Newhouse, who caught a game-high seven passes for 103 yards, were the primary targets for Green quarterbacks Cicero and Davon Vinson. Cicero completed 5-of-12 passes for 115 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, while Vinson was 12-of-18 for 122 yards.

The Gold team was quarterbacked by Aaron Karas, who finished 4-of-9 for 46 yards and an interception, and Josh Zachry, who was 3-of-4 for 35 yards.

Chris Loudermilk kicked a 24-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter to give the Gold its first points, and Josh Arnold returned a Mitch Pruitt interception 79 yards for an interception.

Krieg rushed for a game-high 70 yards on 10 carries, while Jonathan Evans led the Gold with 15 rushing yards on four attempts.

The Green's Greg Wade led all defenders with 13 total tackles, including one sack.
