Waco, Texas - Baylor head football coach Guy Morriss announced Wednesday that starting cornerback Bobby Hart has been dismissed from the program for violating team and university policy.
Hart, a rising senior who has started 20 games over the last three seasons, led the Bears with three interceptions and a 10.0-yard punt return average in 2002. He was also credited with 34 total tackles, seven pass breakups and a forced fumble last year.
"Discipline and responsibility have got to be the cornerstones of our football program," Morriss said. "It's tough when you lose a player with Bobby's experience and ability. We wish him the best."
