WACO, Texas - Baylor head women's tennis coach Joey Scrivano will take six players to Fort Worth this weekend to compete in the ITA Southwest Regionals. The tournament, hosted by TCU and held at the Bayard Friedman Tennis Center, will begin on Friday (Oct. 17) and conclude on Monday (Oct. 20). A total of 126 players will compete in the tournament.

Competing in singles for the Bears will be junior Daria Potapova, sophomores Stephanie Balzert, Zuzana Krchnakova and Izabela Mijic and freshmen Iva Mihaylova, and Klara Zrustova. Balzert and Potapova will team up in doubles as will Mihaylova and Zrustova and Krchnakova and Mijic. All three tandems have played together this fall. Balzert and Potapova sport the team's best doubles record at 6-1 while Mihaylova and Mijic are 3-3 and Krchnakova and Zrustova are 0-2.
