WACO, Texas - Baylor midfielder Tiffany Boshers was named to the 2003 All-Big 12 Conference Soccer Second Team based on a vote of the league's coaches, the conference announced Tuesday.
The honor is a first for Boshers, a redshirt sophomore from Algonquin, Ill. After tying for the team lead in points last season, Boshers finished second on the squad this year with three goals and 10 points. Her four assists tied for the team lead. Boshers started all 18 games this season. In just two years, Boshers already ranks among the Bears' all-time leaders in career goals and career shots.
Baylor finished the 2003 season 7-9-2 overall, 2-6-2 in Big 12 play and tied for ninth in the conference in Van Linder's first season at the helm. In addition to Boshers' honor, season highlights included senior goalkeeper Monica Housden becoming the first keeper in program history to play every minute of the season in net and junior Ginny Rosario-Tull moving into fourth place in the Baylor recordbooks in career points and goals.
