Men's Golf To Open Spring in Hawaii

WACO, Texas - Baylor's men's golf team will open its spring season by playing at the 13th annual Taylor Made/ Waikoloa Intercollegiate on Wednesday-Friday, Feb. 12-14, at the Waikoloa Resort Kings' golf course in Oahu.
The tournament boasts a competitive 26-team field that includes Baylor, Air Force, Arizona State, Arkansas, Fresno State, Georgia Tech, Hawaii, Houston, Kansas, Lamar, Mississippi, Nagoya, Nevada-Reno, Oklahoma, Oregon, Oregon State, Pepperdine, Rhode Island, USC, Stanford, Texas A&M, TCU, Texas Tech, UCLA, Washington and host Hawaii-Hilo.
Baylor, Arizona State, Arkansas, Lamar, Oklahoma, Washington, Georgia Tech and USC each enter the spring ranked in the top 30, according to Golfstat.com.
The format of the Invitational consists of 54 holes beginning with an opening round Wednesday starting at 6:45 a.m. Hawaii time. The second round will begin at 6:45 a.m. on Thursday and the final round will begin at 7:00 a.m. on Friday.
The Waikoloa Resort Kings' golf course is a 6,594-yard, par 72 course situated in Oahu.
The Bears enter the spring ranked 24th by golfstat.com and have finished in the top five in each of their last 15 regular season tournaments.
In Baylor's last outing of the fall, the Bears finished 2nd behind SMU at the Baylor Invitational at Bear Ridge Golf Course in Waco.
