Waco, Texas - After four weeks and 14 practices, first-year head football coach Guy Morriss and his team wrap up spring practice this Saturday at the annual Baylor Green & Gold Spring Game presented by Dodge. Kickoff at Floyd Casey Stadium is schedule for 1 p.m.
The first quarter of this year's game pits former Bear lettermen in a flag football contest. Notables scheduled to appear are Bruce Davis, Mark Cochran, Geff Gandy, David Hicks, Jeff Watson and Trey Weir.
The game's remaining three quarters features Baylor's current varsity and will give fans an opportunity to see the Bears' offensive and defensive schemes under Morriss and his staff.
"We've had a good month of practice and we're excited about having a big crowd on hand to see our final spring scrimmage," Morriss said. "We've learned a great deal about our team in the last few weeks. Hopefully, we'll finish up spring with an exciting Green & Gold Game and then get to work on our offseason conditioning."
Waco radio personalities Zack and Jim from Waco 100 and Jay Charles and Chrissy from KWTX-FM 97.5 will serve as honorary coaches for the Green & Gold Game.
Fans attending the game will receive a free Baylor football schedule poster. Admission is free, but canned food donations to Mission Waco are encouraged and will be collected at the gate.
