HEAD COACH GLENN MOORE
Glenn Moore is in his third season as head coach at Baylor, coming to Waco after a stellar three-year tenure at Louisiana State. In his first season at Baylor, Moore led the Lady Bears to a 38-22 overall record and a sixth-place, 7-9 mark in the Big 12 Conference. Last season, he guided the Lady Bears to even greater successes with more than 50 team and individual, single-game and single-season school records. Baylor finished 46-18 overall and 10-8 in the Big 12 Conference, establishing school marks for victories in a season, conference victories in a season and highest conference finish (fourth). Moore also led Baylor to a national ranking for the second straight season and two wins over top 10 teams, as many top-10 victories as the Lady Bears had amassed in the previous 16 seasons of the program's existence. Earlier this season, Moore claimed his 100th victory as Baylor's head coach with the Lady Bears 3-0 triumph against Texas Tech. He is now 112-59 (.655) in three seasons at Baylor. Moore has a career record of 251-101 (.713); he posted a 22-17 mark in his first year as a collegiate head coach at William Carey in Mississippi. Moore is 229-82 (.736) at the Division I level.

THE IOWA STATE SERIES
Baylor and Iowa State meet for the 11th and 12th times this weekend; each team has won five of the previous 10 meetings. This is the first time Baylor and Iowa State have played at Ames since the 1999 season as the 2001 two-game set at Ames was cancelled due to snow. Baylor is 2-1 all-time at Ames; the Lady Bears and the Cyclones have split each of their four series as Big 12 opponents.

LAST MEETING ... BAYLOR 6, IOWA STATE 4 - APRIL 14, 2002
A five-run sixth inning propelled No. 22 Baylor past Iowa State 6-4. The Bears and the Cyclones split the two-game weekend series with ISU winning the first contest 2-0. With the score tied 1-1 in the top of the sixth, Iowa State first baseman Lindsey Herrin blasted a three-run homer to right-center to put the Cyclones up 4-1. However, the Baylor bats came alive in the bottom of the inning. After managing just one run on six hits in the previous 19 innings, the Lady Bears scored five runs on four hits, two walks, a pair of wild pitches and an ISU error to take a 6-4 lead. Kelly Levesque got things started when she reached with one out on an error by Cyclone second baseman Molly McNertney. Stacey Hundley followed with a double down the line in left, scoring Levesque. After a wild pitch pushed Hundley to third, ISU starter Erica Martinez walked Sarah Caudle and then uncorked another wild pitch to score Hundley and move Caudle to second. Kristen Lancaster then doubled to left-center, scoring Caudle and tying the score at 4-4. After Jen Bice replaced Martinez in the circle, Danelle Arnold singled to put runners on the corners and then advanced to second on a pickoff attempt at third base. Bice then intentionally walked Nan Wilkins, but the plan back-fired as Bice walked April Luce by throwing four straight balls after getting ahead 0-2. Pinch hitter Holly Fields followed with a run-scoring single to make it 6-4. Cristin Vitek tossed the final two innings perfectly with one strikeout. Seven different Lady Bears provided Baylor's seven hits on the day. Hundley and Lancaster both went 1-for-3 with a run an RBI. Herrin was one of three Cyclones with two hits; she finished 2-for-3 with a run and all four ISU RBI.
