Lady Bear shortstop Kim Wilmoth began the week leading the Big 12 in hits, triples and stolen bases. The sophomore infielder sat down with Baylor Athletic Marketing student assistant Becky Britt last week for a short Q&A session.
What is your favorite song to hear before the game?
"I like the song I come out to, 'Dive' by Steven Curtis Chapman. It just pumps me up!"
What is your favorite place on Baylor's campus?
"Well, I'm a business school major, so whenever I am over in between Hankamer and the parking garage. I love that area!"
How would you describe the camaraderie of the team to be?
"It's amazing! We have come so far. We have really gelled this year. All the adversity we have encountered has made us a stronger team."
Who is your favorite Baylor professor and why?
"Mine would have to be Betsy Willis. She was my accounting teacher. I liked her because she was so personal with me. I love when teachers really get into your sport and understand where we are coming from. She just helped me out a lot and was so easy to talk to."
What could you not go for a month without?
"Carbohydrates! I'm addicted to them!"
If you had to write a book about your life what would the title be?
"Probably something like, 'The Woman that Never Quits'."
What do you do on road trips to pass the time?
"Usually sleep or do homework. The road just knocks me out."
What person on the team has made your time here at Baylor?
"I don't think I could pick. I love my roommates, Carrie, Courtney and Danielle. I love all the seniors so much too!"
What were some of your favorite television shows growing up?
"I loved 'I Love Lucy,' 'Full House,' 'Boy Meets World,' 'Saved by the Bell.' Any cheesy growing-up-80s shows, I loved!"
What one person in history would you most like to meet?
"I would have loved to encounter Jesus. I think just to be able to go back and encounter him would be awesome!"
What are you passionate about?
"I'm passionate about life! I love everything about it! I love to be apart of everything! I don't like to miss out on anything!"
What is your most embarrassing moment on the field?
"It would have to be whenever I go to throw and my cleats get stuck in my shoelace and I fall flat on my face. I have done it several times! I did tonight and I did it on frat night last year while I was warming up! I fall all the time!"
What is your least favorite practice drill?
"The T-Drill. The hitter is right in front of you and they hit balls to your right and your left. You have to dive, get up, dive, and get up. Your legs are shot halfway through."
What is your craziest ambition?
"I am the least craziest person you will ever meet. I would love to sky dive though."
Why did you choose Baylor?
"I walked on. I came because of Coach Moore. I was actually going to be at [Texas] A&M, but I loved the education so that's what brought me here."
Do you have any bad habits you would like to break?
"Snacking at midnight!"
If you had 24 hours to live your dream day, what would you do?
"I don't think I would do anything! I would just go up to Colorado and relax."

"Watch 80s movies! I love the 80s!"
