WACO, Texas - Baylor shot a second-round 3-under par 285 to take the lead with a two-round 573 at the sixth annual Baylor Invitational Monday at Bear Ridge Golf Club in Waco, Texas.
Baylor's afternoon 285 erased a six-shot lead LSU held after a morning round of 282. The Tigers shot a second-round 292 and stand second at 574.
Lamar's Chris Stroud leads all individuals through two rounds at 11-under (133) after carding a 66-68. He led the Cardinals to a third-place team score of 579.
Southeastern Louisiana is 10 strokes back at 583 and Wichita State and UT-San Antonio are tied for fifth place at 584.
Baylor was led by freshman Jeremy Frye, who stands tied for second individually with a 7-under-par 137 (68-69). Junior Ryan Baca carded rounds of 3-under 69 and one-over 73 Monday and stands in a seventh place tie.
Seniors Will Doughtie (77-70) and Jon Antunes (74-73) are tied at 23rd at 3-over par 147. Freshman Jeremy Alcorn shot a 7-over 151 and is tied at 44th.
