WACO, Texas - Baylor Athletics will host its weekly Chalk Talk today at 7:30 p.m. at Chili's Too. Featured guests for the night will be Walter Abercrombie, defensive coordinator Bill Bradley, offensive coordinator Brent Pease and special teams coordinator Mark Nelson.
Chalk Talk is a chance for Baylor students to meet coaches and talk with them about different game strategies and to get to know the coaches on a personal level. The goal of Chalk Talk is to unite the Baylor students with the Baylor Athletic program and coaches. Tonight, Abercrombie and the coaches will bring insights into the old and new features of the Baylor football program.
Abercrombie, a former Baylor standout and all-time leading rusher at Baylor, was an eight-year veteran with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles. Bradley was an All-Pro defensive back with the Eagles, Minnesota Vikings and St. Louis Cardinals.
Students are encouraged to arrive early to find a table. Chalk Talk will be held every Thursday before home games in an effort to build support and excitement for the upcoming game. The next Chalk Talk will be November 18. Special guests will be announced the week of Chalk Talk. For more information, please call 710-3073.
