When did you start playing volleyball?
"When I was 6 in little league football and I've been playing ever since then."

What is the best part of being a college athlete?
What all it brings to the table, it brings a large fan base and gives you the opportunity to play in front of thousands of people. If you weren't playing football, what sport would you play?
It would be soccer or football.

What is your nickname on the team and why?
Right now, everybody calls me Q but the nickname I've had throughout my life is Mix. It's a long story how I got it but it's Mix.

After meeting coach Morris, what was your first thought?
My first thought was that he's serious. He's a person who has total control but he wants an atmosphere where it's all respect and everyone's a man about how things are run around here.

What position would you like to play other than your own?
I love offensive line but I would probably say that I would switch it up and stay on the line and play defensive line.

What is the craziest pre-game ritual you have?
I used to go get foot-long seafood sub from subway and I used to eat those before every game in high school.

What is the most unique item in your locker?
An 8 ½ pound medicine ball. It's just wrapped around and right now it's 8 ½ but I'm trying to get it to ten.

Who is your favorite sports hero?
One is Shannon Sharp and Orlando Pace. It's a pretty long list.

Where is your favorite place to go after a game?
I love to go with my family to the hotel room. We all stop by Wing Stop and we get wings and we just sit there and catch up and have a good time with each other.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?
I tripped over myself sometimes when digging a ball.

What's the highlight of your sport's career?
Beating A&M.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?
There's a picture of me from the California game that was in the paper and that has to be my most embarrassing moment.

What opposing school do you most look forward to competing against?
I think A&M would be one because of the fan base and it's fun to play against the A&M fans. Nebraska would also be one because they have a pretty good fan base.

Why did you choose to attend Baylor?
I believe that this is where God wanted me to be. I put a lot of thought into it but when it came down to it I went to Him and asked for a sign and He gave me a sign so I chose here.

What has been your favorite class at Baylor?
I enjoy the communication department. They always have classes that challenge me and classes where I get really, really into it.

What single thing will you most miss about Baylor when you leave?
I'll just miss the whole Baylor life, the friends that I've made, the faculty members and the athletes. I love going to other sports events. I love watching them. I'll just miss the whole thing.

Who is your all-time favorite Baylor athlete?
Fred Miller, he's been someone that I've looked at and I've heard about his history here. I kind of look at his experience and compare it to mine and I see what he's done and what he's doing now and I really admire that.

What is the last movie you watched?
That would have to be Mean Girls, pretty funny.

What is one thing you must pack when traveling?
My Bible and my mom gave me a pair of prayer rocks and I always take those with me and pray before every game.

Who is your favorite SportsCenter announcer?
I enjoy all of them but I really like Stuart Scott. I enjoy the style that he brings to the commentator's booth.

As a role model to young athletes, what advice can you give?
Have hope in whatever you do no matter how hard it looks. Just have fun and always find personal enjoyment in all you do.

What is your favorite fast food?
I just love seafood.

What is the biggest challenge you have had to overcome?
I've had a couple surgeries since I've been here and they always come at critical times like just before season so I've had to overcome those.

Name one thing that people would be surprised to learn about you.
I'm basically quiet. I stay to myself. I love animals and I've always wanted a big farm with some of the best Palomino's you could ever come across. Palomino horses.

If you had to perform karaoke, what song would you sing?
The theme song to Sponge Bob, I do it now and everyone just laughs at me so I'd do that.
