On the win over Texas A&M means to recruiting...
"It was a great football game as a spectator to watch. The outcome was great for us. I think it will make some of the top kids in the state take a look at us. I think it will make them look at what we do during the last three games of the season. We don't want to be one game wonders and then drop our next three."
On how to continue the success...
"I think it is a situation where we need to try to get this game out of our system just as if you were trying to get a loss out of your system. We have to go back to work and prepare just as hard as we have ever prepared. The team gets a taste of a win like that and they want to have that feeling again. We were happy to have the win but it is time to go back to work."
On the performance of Shawn Bell...
"I think he is the kind of kid that when the lights go on he knows it's time to turn it on. His insides were probably racing like crazy but on the outside he was calm and collected. There is an aura about him that carries over to the other players."
On the Texas Tech game...
"We started talking about Texas Tech the instant after the game ended. We have enough maturity on the team that they know they need to be ready to prepare for Texas Tech. I think the team is excited about the opportunities they have in front of them the rest of the year."
On the confidence in the offense for the two-point conversion...
"I had plenty of confidence in the team. We work on two-point conversions every week in practice. I knew it was the right decision when I looked the kids in the eye. We believe in these guys and I knew at the time it was the right thing to do."
On the performance of the offensive line against Texas A&M...
"Well, it all started up front with those guys. Those guys have been getting better and better every week. I cannot say enough about them. If they don't do their job then we won't be successful."
On facing Mike Leach...
"I look forward to facing his team. I'm excited to see our kids take the field again. The game should be exciting."
On facing the Texas Tech offense...
"It's the basic offense that they ran at BYU under LaVell Edwards. One of the things about their offense is that it is hard to simulate throughout the week. Teams can get shell-shocked sometimes when you line up against them on Saturday. You just need to find a way to recognize their weaknesses. It's kind of like organized street-ball and it works"
On the progression of Dominique Zeigler at wide receiver...
"We knew he had a ton of ability. I think he is maturing as a young man and he understands what it takes to be a complete player. I think all of our players are becoming familiar with what we are trying to get done. He has been spending more time perfecting his routes and just doing what it takes to become a complete player."
