Question:
Is it permissible for a representative of athletics interest (booster) to invite a student-athlete to dinner at his or her home during Thanksgiving Break?
Answer:
Yes. Student-athletes may receive an occasional meal from a representative of athletics interest on infrequent and special occasion under the following conditions:
a) The meal must be provided in an individual's home (as opposed to a restaurant) and may be catered; and
b) The booster may provide reasonable local transportation to the student-athletes to attend the meal only if the meal is at the home of that representative.
