WACO, Texas - Baylor women's tennis' Klara Zrustova and Zuzana Zemenova advanced into the third round of singles play at the Women's Fall Desert Collegiate Classic at Moore Tennis Academy in Palm Springs, Calif., Saturday.

The team of Zrustova and Zemenova were defeated in the second round of doubles Friday by the University of Southern California's Matias and Devera. The freshman, Zemenova and sophomore Zrustova both advanced into the third round of singles play.

Zemenova defeated Texas' Kelly Baritot in a two set match 6-2, 6-2 and Zrustova took down Pepperdine's Eva Dickes in a hard-fought three-set match 2-6, 7-6 (3), 6-0.

Third round singles results were not available at time of press.

If they win, the girls will advance into the quarterfinals draw with play beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday.
