WACO, Texas - The Baylor women's tennis team, ranked No. 35 nationally, continues its brutal non-conference schedule by playing its sixth straight ranked opponent as No. 59 TCU comes to Waco on Tuesday, Feb. 17 for a match at the Baylor Tennis Center. The contest between the Bears and the Horned Frogs will begin at 5 p.m.
Joey Scrivano's Baylor women's squad and TCU, coached by Dave Borelli, enter the match with identical 1-4 records. Both schools have played extremely tough competition so far this season. All four of Baylor's losses have come against teams currently ranked No. 13 or above and all of TCU's losses have come against teams ranked 27th or higher. TCU's lone victory came against cross-town rival SMU (4-3) while the Bears defeated No. 31 Mississippi, 4-2.
Baylor freshman Carolin Walter raised her season record to 13-4 with a victory at No. 1 singles over Ole Miss' Chloe Carlotti. Walter is 2-3 in dual match singles competition at the No. 1 spot. In her first competition as a Baylor Bear, Daniela Covello, a sophomore transfer from Brenau University, posted a victory at No. 3 singles against the Rebels.
