WACO, Texas - Baylor sophomore pitcher Mark McCormick has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules, head coach Steve Smith announced Sunday.
"I have suspended Mark McCormick indefinitely for a violation of our team rules," Smith said. "He will continue to practice with the team, but he will not compete until the suspension is lifted. I will have no further comment regarding this situation."
McCormick, a native of League City, Texas, was 6-2 with 5.32 ERA in 64.1 innings of work as a freshman last season.
