Women's Tennis Head for Austin

WACO, Texas -

The No. 35-ranked Baylor women's tennis team will travel to Austin to take on the Texas Longhorns on Thurs., March at 6 p.m. While this is the Bears' first conference match of the season, the Longhorns bring a perfect conference record so far, 4-0 in the Big 12, after sweeping both Missouri and Iowa State in a doubleheader last weekend.

Leading the Longhorns are freshman Petra Dizdar, ranked No. 18, and sophomore Kendra Strohm ranked No. 82, while Baylor is led by 49th ranked Carolin Walter.

Texas holds a 7-1 record on the season, while Baylor is 2-6.

Baylor head coach Joey Scrivano is 0-1 against Texas.

The Bears' next home match scheduled for Sat., March 6, against Nebraska has been rescheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
