After two off days, the Baylor football team returned to work with a two-hour and 30-minute workout on the Floyd Casey Stadium practice fields Tuesday afternoon in helmets and shoulder pads. It marked the fourth of 15 NCAA-allowed spring practices for the Bears.
"We put in some new things today, so they're spinning a little bit and the tempo was down, but overall it was pretty good," second-year BU coach Guy Morriss said. "We are making progress.
"Today, we put in some zone packages, and we aren't used to any of that, so they were thinking their way through that," Morriss added. "And, we've added some offense. Anytime you add something, it is going to take a practice or two to get adjusted. But, overall, I believe we are progressing."
The Bears will take Wednesday off, then practice Thursday (4-1), Friday (4-2) and Saturday (4-3) to close out the week.
All practices are open to the public. Baylor concludes spring ball on April 17th with its annual Green & Gold game at Floyd Casey Stadium.
