WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Baylor men's golf team opened with a 321 and are in 24th Thursday after the first round of the NCAA Central Regional hosted by Purdue at the 7,259-yard, par-72 Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex.
Freshman Jeremy Frye (Palestine, Texas) is tied for 58th with a 77. Freshman Jeremy Alcorn (Brownwood, Texas) and senior Jon Antunes (Belton, Texas) are each tied for 88th with an 80.
Junior Ryan Baca (Richmond, Texas) and senior Will Doughtie (Amarillo, Texas) are tied for 128th at 84.
Oklahoma State (287) leads the tournament by five over Texas A&M and eight over Purdue. Texas' Jason Hartwick, Texas A&M's Andrew Parr and Oklahoma State's Casey Wittenberg are all tied for the lead at 3-under par 69.
The tournament resumes with the second Friday.
