Golfer Ryan Baca Misses Cut at U.S. Amateur

MAMARONECK, N.Y. - Baylor senior Ryan Baca (Richmond, Texas) finished tied for 128th with a 36-hole total of 155 at the 104th U.S. Amateur golf championship at the 7,266-yard, par-70 Winged Foot Golf Club West Course Tuesday. U.S. Amateur Public Links champion Ryan Moore of Payallup, Wash., took individual medalist honors in the stroke play portion of the tournament with a 1-under par 139. First-day leader Oscar Alvarez and Nick Cook tied for second at even-par 140. The top 64 players advanced to match play Wednesday. After five rounds of match play, the championship concludes with a 36-hole final on Sunday. The event will be televised on ESPN2.
