"It was great to have so many separate players score goals for us today," head coach George Van Linder said. "So far, the play of our younger players has been outstanding. I think everybody is ready and excited to get the season started."
Baylor would control the play the rest of the way, as the Bears outscored the Cougars 4-0 in the second half. Brittani Zonker opened up the scoring in the second half with her goal to give the Bears a 3-1 lead. Junior midfielder Katie Chicoine followed with her second goal of the pre-season to give the Bears a three goal lead.
Newcomers Jessica Hutton and Anna Schuch closed out the scoring on the day, as the Bears coasted to a 6-1 win.
For the second straight game, goalkeepers Kristin Weegar and Ashley Holder combined for the win.
With two exhibition victories behind them, the Baylor soccer team opens up regular-season play when the Bears travel to
