Coach Guy Morriss' Baylor football team continued preparations for its Sept. 4 season-opener at UAB with a 100-minute workout on the Floyd Casey Stadium grass practice fields Tuesday afternoon. "We cut it (practice) back to about an hour and 40 minutes and were able to keep the tempo and enthusiasm up," said Morriss. "I was really pleased with the offensive line's play today. I don't know what they did, but it is amazing how much better our offense is when they are out here working and we can get a little time and punch some holes in there. "We need to get them (the players) freshened back up, that's why we cut quite a bit of time out of it (practice) today," he added. "As long as they'll keep practicing at this kind of tempo, we don't have to be out here all day. The intensity was good and they were flying around. out here." The Bears, who practice on the new Floyd Casey Stadium turf on Monday, are scheduled to practice daily at 2:30 p.m. through Friday.
