WACO, Texas - Baylor's women's tennis trio that traveled to Houston to compete in the seven-team Houston Hilton Plaza Rice Tennis Classic concluded the tournament today with the only win coming in consolation round doubles .

Junior Daniela Covello and Sophomore Iva Mihaylova defated Rice's Karas and Cao 8-0 to conclude doubles play in day three.

In singles action, Covello and Junior Zuzana Krchnakova were defeated in two-set matches in the winners bracket.. Covello lost in a 6-2; 7-5 match to SMU's Svetlana Kousmenko and Krchnakova was defeated 6-1; 6-2 by Yale's Reshmi Srinath. Mihaylova was defeated in the consolation bracket 6-2; 6-1 by SMU's Jenny Langer.

Next up for the Baylor women, they will travel to the ITA- All American Oct. 6-14 in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
