Ravens' defensive back Gary Baxter recorded 10 tackles in Baltimore's 29-3 win over the Cincinnati Bengals last Sunday. The double-digit tackling performance raised his season tackle total to 14 in three games.
Baxter, who left Baylor in 2000 to pursue his NFL career, returned to Waco during the 2002 off season to finish his undergraduate degree and earn his Bachelor of Arts and Sciences diploma.
He is currently in his fourth season in the NFL. Baxter was drafted in 2001 by the Ravens (2-1) in the second round, the 36th pick overall. During his career, he has played in 41 games and recording 175 tackles. The Ravens host the Kansas City Chiefs (0-3) this Sunday.
