WACO, Texas - The Baylor women's tennis team will begin spring action this weekend competing against No. 2 Florida on Saturday in Gainesville and then traveling to Tallahassee on Sunday to face No. 31 Florida State.
Florida will prove to be tough competition for the Bears with six players holding singles ITA national rankings. Jennifer Magley is the highest ranked for the Gators at No.11 and Zerene Reyes follows closely at No. 15.
Florida also has three ranked doubles teams. Whitney Benik and Lolita Fangulyan are the No. 3 team and Reyes and Magley hold the No. 13 position. Nina Suvak and Boglarka Berecz are ranked No. 24.
Florida State's Michaela Moldovan is the Seminole's only ranked player at No. 42 in singles.
Baylor also holds its share of ranked players with Carolin Walter at No. 43 and Zuzana Cerna at No. 92 in singles. Cerna and Daniela Covello hold down the No. 9 ranking for doubles.
