New York, N.Y. - The weather continued to be an issue as rain delayed today's matches at the NTC Invitational in New York City. As done all weekend, indoor facilities were booked on short notice and players were shipped to several different courts to finish out the tournament. Iva Mihaylova's final's match, which was originally scheduled for the morning, was pushed back, but the delays never phased Baylor's remaining tournament competitor.
In the C 2 Flight draw, Mihaylova had already defeated three players, one win coming from an injury-induced walk. In the draw's final match, Mihaylova beat Karina Ledaja from Arkansas 6-3, 6-2. The win concluded Baylor's involvement in the tournament since Zuzana Krchnakova and Klara Zrustova finished up their matches yesterday. Baylor posted six wins total between the three girls; Mihaylova accounted for four of them.
The women's tennis team will pick up play again this weekend in Midland, Texas, at the Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational which takes place Oct. 14-16.
