With the combination of record-setting season ticket numbers along with decreased parking opportunities at the Ferrell Center due to the construction of the new basketball practice facility, the following information should assist patrons in and out of the Ferrell Center during the 2005-06 Baylor basketball season.
"The best recommendation that can be given is for fans to come early as doors open 90 minutes prior to the start of each game," said Baylor Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs Bill Chaves. "Parking will be a challenge this year, however, the shuttle system that has been put in place should help take the pressure off the areas around the arena."
Parking Information
•There will be shuttle buses in place for every game this season. Buses will transport fans from the East Campus Parking Garage to the Ferrell Center beginning 90 minutes prior to game time.
The garage can be accessed by taking Daughtrey Avenue off of University Parks Drive (from I-35 it will be a right hand turn) and entering the garage between 2nd and 3rd streets or by entering from LaSalle by taking a left on 3rd and a right on Daughtrey.
•Credentialed donor parking will again be offered this season. The ability to park in lots closest to the Ferrell Center are reserved for season ticket holders who make contributions to the Bear Foundation at certain levels or are members of the Tip-Off (women's)/Fast Break (men's) Clubs who qualify for parking benefits. For additional information about these parking opportunities, please contact Athletic Development at 710-2582.
Arena Entrance Information
•Construction will also affect the doors to the Ferrell Center for public entrance. There will be four doors to the left of the ticket office (facing from the parking lot) available for public entrance for patrons that have tickets in hand.
•The multiple set of doors to the right of the ticket office (facing from the parking lot) will serve as the entrances for will call (general and player) as well as continue to be the entrance for Baylor Students.
•Baylor Faculty and Staff, meanwhile, will access the Ferrell Center from the entrance closest and to the right of the ticket office.
Baylor's new basketball practice facility will be completed by Aug., 2006.
