When did you start playing your sport?
8th Grade

Who has had the greatest impact on your career?
My coach in high school was really helpful. He didn't just help with the training, but we got to be really good friends, and he helped with the mental aspect.

What is the best part of being a college athlete?
I like being able to compete with the best of the best

If you weren't playing the sport you are now, which sport would you want to play?
Track

After meeting coach Harbour, what was you first thought?
He was somebody that knew what he was doing and had a passion for it

Who are your favorite sports heroes?
Steve Prefontaine

What athlete did you imitate when you were a kid?
Steve Prefontaine

Where is your favorite place to go after a game/event?
Texas Roadhouse and eat a big steak

What is the highlight of your sports career?
Competing with a team that can come together and work towards a goal

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?
I tried to beat another guy and I leaned too hard and I laid flat out on the track face first

What opposing school do you most look forward to competing against?
Texas and Kansas State

Why did you choose to attend Baylor?
I came to the Baylor cross country camp when I was a junior in high school, and I got the know the coach and a few of the runners off the team and they all seemed like good Christian guys. Then I came on my visit and hung out with the team and everybody was real close and everyone seemed to get along real well. And the training was intense and I thought I could get better.

What has been your favorite class at Baylor?
Dr. Chonko's business class.

What single thing will you most miss about Baylor when you leave?
The friendship aspect on the team, just being so close because you go through so much pain with them

Matt Chance

Hank Williams Jr.

What is the last movie you watched?
Saw II

What is one thing you must pack when traveling?
Deodorant

As a role model to young athletes, what advice can you give?
Set goals and do everything you can do to achieve them

What is your favorite fast food?
Taco Cabana

What is the biggest challenge you have had to overcome?
The training

Name one thing you can't go a week without.
A shower

What is your dream job?
To get paid one million dollars to coach

What's your most valued possession?
My truck

What do you consider the all-time greatest moment in sports?
The breaking of the 4 minute mile
