WACO, Texas - The Baylor men's golf team will travel to Kanehoe, Hawaii to play in the University of Hawaii Fall Invitational Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 7-8. The tournament is hosted by the University of Hawaii and will be played at the scenic 6,739-yard, par 72 Kaneohe Klipper G.C.
The tournament consists of a competitive 20-team field that includes Baylor, Air Force, Cal Poly, Central Oklahoma, Charlotte, Drake, Hartford, Hawaii-Hilo, Louisiana Tech, Loyola Marymount, New Mexico State, San Diego, San Diego State, San Francisco, Santa Clara, UC_Riverside, UNLV, Weber State, Wyoming and host Hawaii.
The format of the tournament will be 36 holes on Monday, followed by a final round Tuesday morning
The Bears will travel with junior Jeremy Alcorn (Brownwood, Texas), senior Ryan Baca (Richmond, Texas) and junior Jeremy Frye (Palestine, Texas). Freshman Carmine Mediate (Southlake, Texas) will be making his second consecutive career start along with sophomore Wes Williams (Franklin, Tenn.) and junior Colton Turnquist (Austin, Texas) who will be playing as an individual.
Baylor is coming off an impressive finish at the Baylor Invitational where they captured the team title. The Bears were led by junior Jeremy Alcorn who claimed a share of the individual title for his fourth career victory. Freshman Carmine Mediate finished tied for third in the tournament all while competing in his first career tournament.
Results will be posted at the conclusion of play each day.
