Question:
May student-athletes participate in a ropes course or other team building activities?
Answer:
It is permissible for students to participate in team building activities so long as the student-athletes pay their own expenses (e.g., transportation costs, fees associated with participating in the activity, etc.) AND such participation is included in the weekly limitation for countable athletically related activities (In-season: 20 hours per week; Out-of-season: 8 hours per week).
