WACO, Texas - Baylor's No. 25 women's tennis team will face the Pepperdine Waves on Saturday at the Baylor Tennis Center at 1 p.m.
After defeating the then ranked No. 7 Clemson Tigers last weekend 4-0, the Bears jump up 10 spots in the rankings to No. 25, the highest ranking since the fall of 2002.
Baylor has its share of individually ranked players with Carolin Walter at No. 43 and Zuzana Cerna at No. 92 in singles. Cerna and Daniela Covello hold down the No. 9 ranking for doubles.
The Waves list four ranked players in their line-up. Natalie Braverman holds the No.52 spot with Biana Dulgheru and Caroline Raba follow closely at No. 57 and No.65. Sylovia Kosakowski is also ranked at No. 119.
Baylor goes into Saturday's match with a 2-2 record. Pepperdine is 4-2 on the season.
