WACO, Texas - Reliant Energy has donated their entire allotment of 2004-2005 Baylor season basketball, baseball and softball tickets to the Waco chapter of the Boys and Girls Club of America.

"It's a wonderful blessing to receive these tickets," said Bubba Myers, executive director of the Waco chapter of the Boys and Girls Club. "For our kids, it's an incredible experience to attend a Baylor athletic event. We are thankful to Reliant Energy for allowing us to give them this opportunity."

As a sponsor and long-term supporter of Baylor Athletics, Reliant receives 10 season tickets each to the men's and women's basketball, baseball and softball games. In total, Reliant will donate over 750 tickets to the Waco Boys and Girls Club this year so the children can attend Baylor athletic events for the 2004-2005 season.

Jim Unrau, senior energy marketing manager at Reliant said, "We are pleased to assist the Waco Boys and Girls Club by providing an opportunity for the kids to experience the excitement of Baylor University athletics."

The Boys and Girls Club was built on the principle that every child needs to know that someone cares about them. The Boys and Girls Club of Waco offers local children a safe place to learn and grow - all while having fun. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.
