Women's Tennis Back on Top in Rankings

WACO, Texas - The Baylor women's tennis team was ranked at No. 15 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association today posting a new all-time ranking high. The Lady Bears advanced two spots from their previous ranking of No. 17.

Individual rankings were also released by the ITA today. Freshman Zuzana Zemenova is the highest ranked for Baylor at No. 24. Sophomore Carolin Walter also earned a spot in the rankings at No. 79.

Two doubles teams for the Bears also received rankings. Daniela Covello and Zuzana Cerna tied for the No. 22 spot while Covello and Zuzana Zemenova posted a No. 50 ranking.

The Bears will return to action this weekend playing back-to back conference matches on Saturday. They will face Missouri at 11 a.m. and Iowa State at 6 p.m.
