WACO, Texas - The Baylor women's tennis team advanced from its previous ranking of No. 15 to No. 12 setting a new all-time ranking high in the latest team rankings released today by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
The Bears have continuously climbed in the weekly rankings starting the season at No. 41. Baylor's largest jump in the rankings came on February 15 when the Bears advanced 10 spots from No. 35 to No. 25.
The Bears shut-out two Big 12 opponents this Easter weekend to earn them a 14-3 overall, 5-0 conference record and advance them in the rankings.
Baylor defeated then-ranked No. 50 Missouri and Iowa State Saturday taking both matches 7-0.
