WACO, Texas - Baylor's No. 18 women's tennis team will face a full day on Wednesday taking on the University of Houston at 2 p.m. and No. 63 Southern Methodist University at 6 p.m. at the Baylor Tennis Center.
The Bears are coming off of a winning weekend as they defeated Nebraska and Colorado to kick-off conference play. Now 8-2 on the season and 2-0 in conference, Baylor hopes to extend it's seven match winning streak tomorrow.
Baylor's Zuzana Zemenova has been turning out wins for the Bears playing the No.1 position in the lineup and moved up this week in the national ITA rankings earning the No. 21 spot. Carolin Walter is the other ranked Lady Bear at No. 69.
Two doubles teams hold national rankings for the Bears. Daniela Covello and Zuzana Zemenova hold down the No. 24 doubles spot. Covello shows up again teamed with Zuzana Cerna to earn a No. 33 ranking.
Klara Zrustova has also been performing for the Bears currently holding an eight-match winning streak.
Houston is coming off of a 7-0 loss at SMU on Sunday, March 6 and currently are 8-4 on the season.
The SMU Mustangs go into Wednesday's competition 8-6 on the season and 0-2 on the road.
