The Baylor men's golf team heads to Bryan, Texas Saturday and Sunday to compete in the Aggie Invitational hosted by Texas A&M. The tournament is being held at the 7,235-yard, Par- 72 Traditions Golf Club and boasts a very competitive field.
Jeremy Alcorn (Brownwood, Texas) is looking to continue the success he is having in his sophomore season, which has included three individual victories. He currently leads the team with a 71.46 stroke average for the spring.

Jeremy Alcorn [Sophomore]: Finished tied for 28th last time out at the Morris Williams Invitational... leads the team with a 71.46 scoring average...finished first at the Border Olympics firing rounds of 73, 69 and 67 in route to his third individual title of the season...finished second at the Lexus Naples Invitational (tied for 17th at the Hyatt Plantation Club Intercollegiate (72-69-68=209)...recorded his second straight indiviudal victory at the UTSA Roadrunner Intercollegiate...fired a career-low 65 in the first round of the tournament...won the University Club Intercollegiate in Baton Rouge, La. finishing at 13-under par for the tournament...shot a 67 in the final round of the tournament...tied for 7th at the Duke Golf Classic...at the Pepperdine Club Glove Intercollegiate, tied for 13th...tied for 53rd at the William H. Tucker...shot three consecutive rounds of 70 at the Baylor Invitational and tied for second.
Jeremy Frye [Sophomore]: Finished tied for 50th his last time out... tied for 26th at the Border Olympics...tied for 15th at the Lexus Naples Invitational (73-70-74=217)...tied for 31st at the Hyatt Plantation Club Intercollegiate...tied for 38th at the University Club Intercollegiate...tied for 13th at the Duke Golf Classic...shot an opening round of 69 in the first round of Pepperdine Club Glove Intercollegiate and tied for 33rd...recorded his second career top-10 finish at the William H. Tucker, firing a final round 69...tied for 22nd at the Baylor Invitational.
Colton Turnquist [Sophomore]: Tied for 11th at the Morris Williams... Shot rounds of 75, 75 and 72... tied for 10th at the border Olympics by shooting two rounds of even-par-72...tied for 11th at the Lexus Naples Invitational with a score of 215 (70-76-69)...averaging 72.83 strokes per round...tied for 40th at the Hyatt Plantation Club Intercollegiate...tied for 17th in his first-ever tournament as a Bear at the UTSA Roadrunner Intercollegiate...Fired a career-low 69 in the second round of the UTSA Intercollegiate and the final round of the Lexus Naples Invitational.
Chase Thomas [Sophomore]: Finished 80th last time out... recorded a career-high finish by shooting rounds of 69, 70 and 71 in route to a second place finish at the Border Olympics...tying for seventh at the Lexus Naples Invitational (72-70-71=213)...tied for 36th at the Hyatt Plantation Club Intercollegiate...tied for 33rd in his first start as a Bear at the UTSA Roadrunner Intercollegiate.
Brian Meck [Freshman]: Playing as an individual and making his third start of the spring... tied for 10th his last time out at the Border Olympics by firing rounds of 72, 74 and 72...played individually and tied for 26th (78-73-70=221) at the Hyatt Plantation Club Intercollegiate.
Dusty Isabell (Freshman): making his first start to the spring season... finished the fall season with a 74.42 scoring average... finished tied for 58th his last time out at the University Club Intercollegiate.
Looking Ahead: Baylor will take some time off and then return to action April 29-May 1 when they travel to play in the Big 12 Championship at Whispering Pines G.C. in Trinity, Texas.
