Baylor's live and costumed mascots are featured in the NCAA Hall of Champions exhibit "Mascot Mania" on display through Sept. 6 at the museum in Indianapolis, Ind.
It's difficult to imagine a college football game without a mascot on the sidelines. Many of the more than 1,000 NCAA institutions have interesting anecdotes on how they got their mascot, nickname or school colors. Some of those stories date back more than a century, although others only go back a decade or two. The NCAA Mascot Mania exhibit tells those stories and more.
