Golfer Frye Falls in U.S. Amateur

MERION, Pa. - Baylor junior Jeremy Frye (Palestine, Texas) fell to Oklahoma's Anthony Kim 4&3 in the first round of match play Wednesday at the 105th Amateur Golf Championship at Merion Golf Club.
Frye was one of three Bears to qualify for the prestigious event, joining senior Ryan Baca (Richmond, Texas) and redshirt freshman Bill Allcorn (Abilene, Texas).
The Bears open the 2005-06 season at the William H. Tucker Sept. 16-17 at the University of New Mexico's Championship Course in Albuquerque, N.M.
