Coach Guy Morriss' 3-0 Baylor football team went through a spirited 90-minute practice Thursday afternoon in helmets and shorts on the Floyd Casey Stadium grass practice fields.
"We've had a good week of practice," said Morriss. "Now it is a matter of going out and executing what we've worked on this week. I like our frame of mind and enthusiasm as we head into Big 12 play."
The Bears will hold a walk-through practice in Waco Friday afternoon, then bus to Kyle Field in College Station before heading to their hotel.
Kickoff for Saturday's Big 12 opener for both the Bears and Aggies is set for 11:30 a.m. on Fox Sports Net.
Notes: Baylor's 70-man travel roster includes No. 2 OT Travis Farst, who has been sidelined for nearly all of fall camp and the season's first three games with a kneecap injury ... The travel roster also includes junior DT Klayton Shoals, who played in 10 games a year ago to earn a letter, but didn't play in any of the Bears' non-conference victories ... Senior FS Maurice Lane, who has started 37 straight games in the Baylor secondary, worked out with the team Thursday after missing the last two practices with a sore hamstring ... Kickoff for Baylor's Oct. 8 game at No. 24 Iowa State has been set for 1 p.m. at Cyclone Stadium/Jack Trice Field and there will be no television coverage of the contest ... Single-game tickets for Baylor's remaining four home games are on sale through the school's Athletic Ticket Office (1-800-BAYLOR-U).
