Men's Tennis Sends two to USTA Event

WACO, Texas - Baylor junior Lars Poerschke and freshman Dominik Mueller will compete in the United States Tennis Association's (USTA) Mansfield Futures Tournament at the Walnut Creek Country Club in Mansfield, Texas, beginning on Sat., Oct. 14.
Mueller will see his first action on Saturday in the 64-player singles qualifying draw. The tournament's main draw which features 32 players begins play on Tue., Oct 16 at 10 a.m. Poerschke already has been selected to play in the tournament's main draw.
Mueller entered the qualifying draw as the No. 7 seed. In first round action he downed Mikhail Pavlov (RUS) in three sets, 6-1, 0-6, 6-2. His second round opponent on Sunday is Dane Chuntraruk.
