EDMOND, Okla. - The Baylor men's golf team shot an opening-round 316 and is tied for seventh at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate at the 7,417-yard, par-71 Oak Tree Golf Club.
Junior Wes Williams (Franklin, Tenn.) is tied for fifth to lead the Bears after firing a 75. Williams shot a 36 on the front nine and 39 on the back nine. Sophomore Bill Allcorn (Abilene, Texas) is tied for ninth after opening with a 76.
Senior Jeremy Frye (Palestine, Texas) is tied for 35th at 82, while senior Jeremy Alcorn (Brownwood, Texas) and junior Brian Meck (Austin, Texas) are tied for 38th at 83. Redshirt freshman Colton Williams (Jacksboro, Texas) is playing individually and is tied for ninth at 76.
Ohio State shot a 304 and leads the tournament by one stroke over Tulsa. Arkansas' Andrew Landry leads the individual race with an even-par 71.
The second round follows Monday and the tournament concludes with the third round Tuesday.
