Baylor University junior inside wide receiver Terrance Parks has been dismissed from the Baylor football program, Bears' head coach Guy Morriss announced following Wednesday's practice on the grass practice fields at Floyd Casey Stadium.
"We have dismissed Terrance (Parks) from the football program for a violation of team policy," Morriss said.
Parks, who was suspended from the team by Morriss last week and did not play in Baylor's 63-31 loss at No. 5 Texas on Oct. 14, was the Bears' third-leading receiver through six 2006 games with 26 receptions for 217 yards, an average of 8.3 yards per catch. He started three games and recorded a career-high seven receptions vs. both TCU (for 65 yards) and Kansas State (57).
He moved to inside receiver after spending the majority of his first three seasons in the program at quarterback, where he started one game as a redshirt freshman in 2004 and two more as a sophomore in 2005.
Baylor, 3-4 overall and 2-1 in the Big 12 Conference, hosts Kansas (3-4/0-3) on Saturday at 2:05 p.m. at Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco.
