Question:
Who may pick up a prospective student-athlete when he or he flies in for an official visit?
Answer:
Any member of an institution's athletics department staff may provide ground transportation for a prospective student-athlete and the prospective student-athlete's parents or legal guardians between campus and the airport. The NCAA staff has determined that it is permissible for a volunteer coach, undergraduate coach, or graduate assistant coach to utilize an institutional automobile to transport a prospect from the airport nearest campus when the prospect makes an official visit.
