Hello Baylor Fans,
Well I know that many of you are frustrated right now and rightfully so. Our team is frustrated right now and we are not happy with what has occurred the last two weeks. We did not take advantage of our opportunities and now we are not going to have a chance to be bowl eligible. As a senior it really hurts knowing that in our last season we will not meet our goals. However, there are two ways we can handle where we are right now. We can either fold up and feel sorry for ourselves or we can continue to press on and try to be as positive as possible. I believe this team is full of players who will want to finish the season off right and send the seniors out of here on a good note.
Oklahoma has a great team and is going to be a tough challenge. However, we played them well last year and I think that if we play like we are capable of, we will have a great shot of winning the game. We have to keep motivated and have a great week of practice to prepare for the Sooners. Also, we have to limit the mistakes and do our assignments to the best of our abilities. This team contains a lot of seniors and this Saturday will be our last opportunity to put on the green and gold uniforms. I hope that we have an opportunity to send the seniors out of here on a good note. Also, I hope that you as fans will stay as positive as possible.
I know things are frustrating right now, but the players will never give up and I hope you will not as fans either. This program is so much better than where it was when I first took a step on Baylor University's campus and is still on the rise.
I hope that you will be at Floyd Casey Stadium to send these seniors off in their final game to play. They have been working hard for four or five years to try to build this program and I would hope you would try your best to show these guys a good crowd. Thanks for all your support and I hope it continues this week against the Sooners.
God Bless and Sic'em Bears -Shawn Bell
