WACO, Texas - Baylor women's tennis head coach Joey Scrivano announced the second signee of the program's fall class. Tania Germanlieva, a high school senior from Sofia, Bulgaria, has committed to Baylor for the 2007-08 season.
Germanlieva is ranked in the top three under-18 in Bulgaria and 721 in the Women's Tennis Association rankings, a poll that ranks the top 1500 players in the world.
"We are very excited about signing Tania Germanlieva. She has a tremendous work ethic and is a very good athlete. My assistant coaches and I are looking forward to beginning the developmental process with her next fall," said Scrivano.
Germanlieva and fellow signee Taylor Ormond (Ontario, Canada) round out Baylor's women's tennis team's class of 2007-08 who have signed to National Letters of Intent this fall.
