WACO, Texas -- Baylor football continued spring drills Wednesday on the practice fields at Floyd Casey Stadium. The Bears worked in helmets and shorts in a two-hour session, the second practice of the spring season.

Head coach Guy Morriss said the Bears enjoyed a solid practice and that Baylor's new offense under first-year offensive coordinator Lee Hays is starting to take shape.

"It was a good practice," Morriss said. "The receivers are getting a little worn down; they run a lot in this new system, and we're a little thin at that spot. We'll probably get more of the big guys in tomorrow to give the receivers a little bit of a break. But we've put in two-thirds of the offense, and the guys are catching on pretty well."

Baylor dons shoulder pads for the first time Thursday at 3 p.m. in the final practice before an 11-day break for the university's spring vacation. Baylor concludes spring practice April 8 with the annual Green & Gold Game at 1 p.m. in Floyd Casey Stadium.
