SCOUTING
Despite the 1-4 record in Big 12 Conference play, the Jayhawks are close to entering the series with a perfect record in conference play as three-of-four losses have been by a single run, including a pair of losses to Texas A&M when the Aggies had to rally in their final at-bat.
In the one, two-run loss the Jayhawks suffered in conference play this season, starting pitcher Kassie Humphreys tossed a no-hitter; however, a pair of unearned runs led to a 2-0 Nebraska victory.
Humphreys and Settlemier form a formidable pitching duo as Humphreys (8-12) has posted an impressive1.42 ERA while striking out 139 in 123.1 innings of work while Settlemier enters the series with a 12-4 record and 1.36 ERA in 102.2 innings of work.
