WACO, Texas - The Baylor Athletic Department has created a new tailgating area on the grounds of Floyd Casey Stadium available for the public to use. The new area is located on the west side of the stadium off of the main entrance of Valley Mills.
The new tailgating area gives fans the opportunity to get together as a large group in a designated area as opposed to in parking lots.
"This area was created with our fans in mind to give them a place to tailgate as a large group to either host a hospitality event or just get some friends together," said Assistant Director of Marketing, Bobby Jordan.
The area is in close proximity to Floyd Casey Stadium, which made the decision to create this area easier. "The location of the area in relation to the football stadium makes this an ideal place for fans to arrive early and tailgate before walking to the game," Jordan continued.
There are three options for fans to choose from for their tailgating area, ranging from hosting 30 people to about 100 people. Each space will be approximately 30' x 30' and will include a tent, tables and chairs for each option that is chosen. Food is not included, but a list of potential caterers can be obtained from the athletic department.
